About Vencon Construction

Vencon, is owned and operated by Leon Venter. Having made New Zealand his home in 2004, Leon has invested in his skills by becoming a qualified builder through the BCITO and securing his license as a building practitioner. His commitment to excellence is further demonstrated through his membership in the prestigious New Zealand Certified Builders Association.

In addition to his professional achievements, Leon also leads an active lifestyle outside of work. A dedicated triathlete, he has conquered numerous full and half distance Ironman races both domestically and internationally. When he's not competing, Leon can be found indulging in his other passions, such as playing golf, fishing and mountain biking.

Overall, Leon's diverse interests and dedication to his craft make him a well-rounded and respected figure in the construction industry.

At Vencon we offer the full service, from concept design and pricing through to the final end product. Your project will be run by one of our dedicated project managers from start to finish removing the stress and hassle associated with building work. We work with Council to manage the process of consenting all the way through until the final code of compliance certificate has been issued.

Our well established and experienced team includes qualified builders, apprentices and project managers.  In addition we have a select network of professional subcontractors and tradespeople available for every project.

Trade Qualified and
Licensed Building Practitioners

Communication, Trust & Peace of mind

New Zealand Certified Builders are backed by a trusted brand and build quality homes and buildings that last. They represent the best of the industry and uphold the highest standards.

Choosing to use a builder from New Zealand Certified Builders means that you are choosing quality. To become a member of NZCB you need to meet the minimum entry requirement for all members which is a recognised industry trade qualification. Members need to provide legible references and evidence of a clean trading history.

A LBP requires builders to be registered with the Building Practitioners Board and hold a current LBP license in their relevant category of building work. LBPs must have a certain level of practical experience and pass a written assessment to demonstrate their technical knowledge in their area of practice.
